SHIFT+TAB takes you from the chat entry box directly to the Acro entry box, and if you're already typing chat, that's quicker than using the mouse to click the other box.
I used /cj on the old game, but have gotten used to not having it - it's ok if I'm in the middle of typing some chat when the round starts.
If it is added back, it should definitely be as an option, rather than forced onto everyone.
